Rachel Wallace - Through a glass, darkly
          Exploring the concept of the that-has-been of Roland Barthes and the presence of absence, photographs of abandoned residences are montaged and layered with poetry and text from Barthes' Camera Lucida. In creating her images to illustrate the abstract sense of loss, Rachel Wallace uses detritus from the chosen locations to challenge our perception of relationship between image, memory and time.
