Becky Smith - Brian & Valerie

In "Brian and Valerie", Becky Smith has created a series of moments inspired by a set of discarded love letters and snapshots. Each image portrays a different date and follows the fictionalised account of Brian and Valerie's real courtship, leading up to their marriage in 1961.

These photographs explore how the meaning of arbitrary snapshots can become something more when separated from the moment they were originally recorded.
